National ASC Month 2023

August is National ASC Month, an annual celebration of surgery centers and the impact that they have on their communities and the healthcare system as a whole.

By participating in awareness-raising activities, surgery centers can educate their communities and government officials alike on the essential role that ASCs play in providing high-quality surgical care.

Join us for an online panel discussion:

Advocate with ASCA

The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) is calling for support of the Outpatient Surgery Quality and Access Act of 2023, which ensures Medicare beneficiaries' continued access to high-quality outpatient surgery.

  • Visit the campaign page for more information on the Outpatient Surgery Quality and Access Act of 2023
  • Fill out pre-templated letters to send to your members of Congress asking them to cosponsor the bill.

Host a Facility Tour

Many potential patients and policymakers remain unaware of the important role ASCs play in the healthcare system. Help educate the public by inviting your local officials to your surgery center or hosting an open house for your community.

  • Host an in-person or virtual facility tour and invite your local lawmakers to attend.
  • Use ASCA's "Virtual Tour Kit" to help plan a successful virtual tour.
