Many ASCs have taken an "if-it-ain't-broke, don't-fix-it" approach to their technology over the past decade and managed to get by. But those days are over. Most of healthcare, including hospitals, payers, and other organizations ASCs partner with, has invested heavily in new solutions and transitioned to or are planning to move to the cloud in the coming years [1]. Even though there are no regulations requiring it, ASCs will be expected to adapt cloud-based technology as the industry migrates to operating in the cloud. A healthy majority of patients own a smartphone [2], and they are reliant upon and expect the cloud to support numerous aspects of their lives, whether they know it or not.

ASCs striving to remain competitive, attract and retain new talent, and grow their operations can no longer afford to take a passive approach to technology and expect that what's worked for them in the past will continue to work for them in the future. The time to move to the cloud is now.

Join Daren Smith, Vice President of ASC Solutions, as he explores cloud computing in ASCs, discussing key topics including:

  • What the cloud is and isn't (i.e., myths and misconceptions)
  • What happens when an ASC moves to the cloud
  • What benefits surgery centers can expect when they transition to the cloud
  • How ASCs can effectively begin the process of moving to the cloud
